Wining Entry: Urbanarium Decoding Density

Decoding Density is a modular residential prototype designed to "crack the code" of urban housing. By reimagining the potential of a single 50-foot lot, the project delivers high-quality density without the need for complex land assembly.

Key Innovations:

Single-Stair Efficiency: By advocating for a single protected exit stair—a standard in many international jurisdictions—the design eliminates wasted corridor space. This allows for "crossing units" with superior natural light and cross-ventilation.

Dynamic Flexibility: A simplified floor plate and common service shaft allow interiors to easily "switch" between open lofts and multi-bedroom family layouts as resident needs evolve.

The Shared Heart: Two distinct volumes (an 8-storey front-rise and 4-storey rear-rise) are connected by a central courtyard featuring a shared kitchen, workshop, and guest suite to foster community.

Scalable Affordability: The project utilizes off-site modular construction and eliminates costly underground parking, creating a viable path for small-scale developers and co-ops to provide affordable urban homes.
